COMMODITIES TRADER CONVICTED OF THREATENING TO KILL GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS

Earlier today, Vincent McCrudden, a former commodities trader, pleaded guilty to two counts of transmitting threats to kill more than 40 current and former officials of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”), the National Futures Association (“NFA”) and the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”). McCrudden has been in custody since his arrest on January 14, 2011.

Kim Rolene Hutterer has been charged with one count of threats against the vice president

An indictment has been returned in federal court in Minneapolis charging a 47-year-old New Prague woman with threatening to kill Vice President Joe Biden and several federal law enforcement officers. Kim Rolene Hutterer has been charged with one count of threats against the vice president, one count of threatening interstate communications, and two counts of mailing threatening communications. The indictment alleges that on October 19, 2010, Hutterer mailed a letter containing threats against Vice President Biden and an agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In addition, Hutterer allegedly mailed a similar threat to a federal law enforcement officer on March 29, 2011. Finally, the indictment alleges that on September 21, 2010, Hutterer threatened an employee of the United States Bureau of Prisons (“BOP”) during a telephone call to the BOP’s Federal Correctional Institute in Welch, West Virginia. Commodities Trader Arrested for Threatening to Kill Government Officials

Vincent McCrudden, a former commodities trader, was charged in federal court today with two counts of transmitting threats to kill 47 current and former officials of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA"), the National Futures Association ("NFA"), and the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission ("CFTC").1 McCrudden's initial appearance is scheduled for this afternoon before United States Magistrate Judge E. Barry Vincent Ardolf Has Been Indicted for Internet Hacking, Making Threats to the Vice President

MINNEAPOLIS—A 45-year-old Blaine, Minnesota man has been indicted in federal court in the District of Minnesota for hacking into his neighbor’s wireless Internet system and allegedly posing as the neighbor to make threats to kill the vice president of the United States and e-mail child pornography. The indictment, which was filed today, charges Barry Vincent Ardolf with two counts of aggravated identity theft, one count of making threats to the president and successors to the presidency, one count of unauthorized access to a protected computer, one count of possession of child pornography, and one count of distribution of child pornography. The indictment alleges that in February 2009, Ardolf hacked into his neighbor’s wireless Internet connection and created multiple Yahoo.com e-mail accounts in that person’s name.
