EEOC Sues Suffolk Laundry Services for Sexual Harassment of Female Laundry Workers

Company Ignored Years of Sexual Harassment by Manager, Agency Charged NEW YORK – Suffolk Laundry Services, Inc. created a sexually hostile work environment for female laundry workers over the course of many years and then retaliated against these women when they complained, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a federal lawsuit it filed today. The Southampton, N.Y.-based commercial laundry service provides linens to various establishments, including restaurants and hospitals on Long Island.

Four Amigos Travel and Top Dog Travel Sued by EEOC in Class Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

TAMPA – Four Amigos Travel, Inc. and Top Dog Travel, Inc., related Florida-based travel telemarketing firms, violated federal law when they allowed five female employees at their Largo, Fla., location to be sexually harassed by supervisors, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed on 5/26/2011. According to the EEOC’s class suit, several of the firms’ male supervisors, including the general manager, conducted daily sales meetings which were sexually charged and raised sexually explicit discussions and propositioned female employees for sex. Hillsborough Restaurant Sued By EEOC For Sexual Harassment And Retaliation

Women Fired for Objecting to Misconduct by Manager, Federal Agency Charged CHARLOTTE , N.C. – A Hillsborough, N.C., restaurant violated federal law by subjecting a class of female employees to a sexually hostile work environment, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) charged in a lawsuit filed today. The EEOC’s lawsuit further charged that at least one female employee quit her job because of the sexual harassment and that the company, which operates “Vinny’s Italian Grill,” fired two other female employees in retaliation for complaining about the sexual harassment. According to the EEOC’s suit, Hillsborough Pizzeria, Inc., doing business as Vinny’s Italian Grill, created and maintained a hostile working environment for Jacqueline Sorrell and a class of similarly situated female employees based on their sex, female.
