Grammy-Nominated Singer Songwriter Skylar Grey to Release Solo Debut Album "INVINSIBLE" Fall 2011 From KIDinaKORNER/Interscope

SANTA MONICA, Calif., June 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The highly-anticipated debut album INVINSIBLE from singer-songwriter SKYLAR GREY will be released in Fall 2011 from Alex da Kid's KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records, it was officially announced today.  A teaser track from the album, "Dance Without You," is available as a free download today, for 48 hours only, at www.skylargreymusic.com.  Grey has made a name for herself lending her songwriting and singing talents to such acts as Eminem and Rihanna ("Love the Way You Lie"), Dr. Dre ("I Need a Doctor"), Diddy Dirty Money ("Coming Home") and Lupe Fiasco ("Words I Never Said"), among others.

Grey's INVINSIBLE, produced by Alex Da Kid, will take listeners by storm with a breathlessly original sound - a sonic exploration in darkly brooding yet beautiful vocal textures, innovative beats and biting lyrics.  From "Invisible," the first official single, slated to be released soon, to INVINSIBLE, the album represents the unveiling of Grey, who has remained much of a mystery to this point.

"I have been working so hard with Alex on this music; I'm excited it's finally going to be out there for everyone to hear.  I won't have to describe it anymore, because the music can finally speak for itself," says Grey.  "Also, I'm very influenced by film and it is my hope that when people listen to my music, they are consumed with vast, cinematic imagery."

Lyrically, the album's songs, which also include "WEIRDO," "BUILDING A MONSTER," and "FINAL WARNING," chronicle the transformation Grey has made over the past few years as she has struggled to find her place within the music industry.  "Building A Monster," in particular, chronicles the process Grey has taken from invisible to invincible – the two words the album's title play on.  The album will include one, soon-to-be-announced feature collaboration.  A full track listing will be announced in the forthcoming months.  Grey's first live solo performance has been announced for Lollapalooza in August and more dates will be announced in the upcoming months.

The Myth, The Matrix, and The Malpractice: Unpacking the Sophia Stewart Saga

The internet loves a good underdog story, especially one where a lone creator battles Hollywood giants. Few tales have captivated online forums and social media quite like that of Sophia Stewart, the woman who famously sued the creators of The Matrix and The Terminator, claiming they stole her work, "The Third Eye." Her story is a complex tapestry woven with claims of stolen genius, judicial conflicts, and attorney negligence. Let's untangle the legal facts from the compelling narrative and examine the heart of her claims. The Core Allegation: "The Third Eye" and the Blockbusters Sophia Stewart alleged that her copyrighted manuscript, "The Third Eye," conceived in 1981 and finalized in 1983, was the blueprint for two of the most iconic sci-fi franchises: The Terminator (first film 1984) and The Matrix (first film 1999). From her perspective, the similarities were undeniable. Stewart’s supporters often point to broad, impactful themes and ev...

The U-Turn of Candace Owens: From Liberal Critic to Conservative Firebrand

Candace Owens’s career has been defined by one of the most dramatic and controversial political transformations in modern media. In less than a decade, she transitioned from a liberal critic of the Republican Party to a leading voice of the American conservative movement, only to have her time at the top of established conservative media end over a final, divisive shift in rhetoric. Here is a look at the journey that defined her political evolution, culminating in her emergence as a powerful, independent media force. Phase 1: The Anti-Trump Democrat (Pre-2017) Before her political transformation, Candace Owens was known for holding typical liberal views and actively criticizing the Republican Party and its most controversial new figure. Initial Stance: Owens was an outspoken critic of Donald Trump, reportedly publishing articles mocking him and the "bat-s**t crazy antics of the Republican Tea Party." The Turning Point: This initial phase ended following a failed a...
