Yankees On A Roll

After a long, nine game, West coast road trip, the Yankees finally get to return home to the Bronx. They went 6-3 during that stretch and find themselves in first place in the division, one game ahead of the Boston Red Sox. With everything the Yankees have achieved on the pitching end, all the talk has really been about their lack of clutch hitting thus far. The ironic thing is that everyone questioned how good their pitching would be after the retirement of Andy Pettitte. However, I am impressed at how this pitching staff has done so far this year. Will there be a time when they are not pitching so well? Of course there will be. Baseball is a marathon, not a sprint. You have ups and downs. I'll take the ups they are on right now so, if at some point they struggle, there's a reminder of how good they can pitch when everything is on point.

In addition to the Yankees winning, Derek Jeter now finds himself 14 hits away from that magical hit number 3000. With a 10 game home stand for the Yankees starting tomorrow with a three game set against Boston, I am sure fans would love to see Derek get that hit sometime during that time. Personally, I am going to the game next Wednesday night against Texas so I would want him to do it then. HAHAHAHA!! Jeter would become the first player in this historic franchise to ever reach that feat. I hope he does it soon!

Thats all for now sports fans. Until next time!
