PRM Announces its Paralegal Boot Camp Scholarship Atlanta-based PRM to provide one tuition to each of its Litigation Paralegal Boot Camps in 2012 to support its mission of promoting and advancing the paralegal profession.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 24, 2012 Pearson Resource Management (PRM) announces its Paralegal Boot Camp Scholarship program to support its mission of advancing and promoting the paralegal profession. PRM will be awarding one scholarship for each of its 1-day live workshops being held in select cities in 2012. The application process includes a short essay on why the applicant chose the paralegal profession and, if the applicant is awarded the funds to attend the Litigation Paralegal Boot Camp, what the applicant would do to “pay it forward” to the paralegal profession. Ann Pearson, PRM’s founder, developed the Litigation Paralegal Boot Camp based on the need for a comprehensive paralegal training workshop that provided the necessary skills that expand on the theory and terminology acquired from paralegal certificate programs. She added “As a paralegal manager, I would see these comprehensive training programs that law firms had for their new associates – entire professional development departments staffed with people whose only focus was on providing their lawyers with the best training programs. Yet, in most firms, there was no comparable program for the new paralegals. I wanted to change that, so I started the Litigation Paralegal Boot Camp.” The Litigation Paralegal Boot Camp is a 1-day workshop focused on the practical applications to give paralegals everything they need to know to proactively manage a litigation case from the complaint through the trial and everything in between. The Boot Camp is comprehensive and fast-paced, understanding that paralegal schedules usually don’t allow for too much time out of the office. When asked what the motivation was behind the Paralegal Boot Camp Scholarship, Ms. Pearson said “The feedback I get from each event is great, but every time I announce the next boot camp, I get several emails from paralegals who say they would love to attend but their law firm doesn’t pay for paralegal continuing education. I am hoping that this scholarship program will change that. Not just for the paralegal who would otherwise not be able to attend, but also that maybe law firms will be inspired to change their position on the importance of paralegal continuing education.” In the next few months, the Litigation Paralegal Boot Camp has plans for its workshops to be held in Charlotte, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Jacksonville, San Francisco and Pittsburg. Paralegals in those cities who need financial assistance to attend the workshop can request information on the application deadlines and an application for the Paralegal Boot Camp Scholarship by visiting PRM’s website: http://www.prmconferences.com.
